Photo Théâtre : Mes premières vacances

"Mes premières vacances": play by André Hélard, memories of 1936.

"Our first vacation, and we had to wait until we were 50 to have that!"

"Germaine, we're off to bliss!"

"For 15 days, we took courage for all the other days!"

"They say paid vacations. But when it comes down to it, we don't get paid until the end...what if we don't get paid?!"

90 years ago, our grandparents and great-grandparents experienced what none of their ancestors before them had: the first paid vacations! Telling the story of these pieces of life for "Cambouis", the worker who greased the machines at Strauss paper mills, Paulette and Giselle, saleswomen at the "magasins Modernes", Raymond the foreman and their four friends was a historic moment for them and... for us today!

The pleasure of doing nothing, sometimes with the fear of boredom! But above all, the discovery of wonderful moments of solidarity and the sharing of life's little joys are the tasty ingredients of this play performed by the Quatzenheim troupe 36!
Memories of strikes and the signing of the Matignon agreements with their first "cong'pay'" mark the story of those happy days and everyone's hopes for a brighter tomorrow.

A lively play, full of humor and tenderness, bicycle rides, fishing, bronzing... and first flings.
